Custom Watercolor Pet & House Portraits

Looking for the perfect gift? Custom watercolor pet and house portraits are a great way to capture a special location or furry family member past or present. Each custom portrait is sketched out in pencil first, then painted over in watercolor paint. Each custom painting takes approximately 5 to 10 hours to complete and are created off the reference photos you provide. The subjects of these watercolor house and pet portraits are what make them so special so please take care when selecting an image for me to reference. I would love the opportunity to capture your home or pet in such a unique way.

Details

All paintings are on 9x12 140lb bright white, high-quality watercolor paper. Since watercolor paint is not always light fast all paintings are sprayed with UV archival spray to protect them from sun damage. Pricing starts at $85 for one pet or house portrait.

Pet Photos

After you’ve placed your order, please email me several photos of your pet. The photos need to have good lighting and clearly show your pets eyes. Above are photos of recent custom watercolor pet portraits, and you can expect a similar rainbow style with your own pet portrait. Portraits are typically from the chest up. I prefer to paint one pet per painting and do offer discounts for more than one portrait.

House Photos

In order for me to paint your home, please make sure the photos you share are from the direct front of the house and captures all sides of the area surrounding it. The higher the quality of the photo, the better your painting will turn out. Sometimes the best house photos are in the wrong season so if you would like a different season than the photo let me know and share other photos of the landscaping in the season you would like me to create.

Frame Tips

The 9x12 watercolor paper fits inside of a 12x16 frame perfectly. Not all images go to the edge so you could find an 11x14 frame with an 8x10 mat that would work. Amazon, craft stores and local frame shops all have off the shelf frames that will fit this size paper. I love to see your paintings in your homes so please share photos!
